outings with cousins sha-sha and haiqal taught me many new malay words, jokes and slangs. sometimes, an added malay-ness is good for a change. for instance, 'sachok' is a word to describe good-looking mats and 'sachek' is a word to describe good-looking minahs. i got to know the different factions of mats, the current trends and what not and meet lots of interesting people. maybe i should become a mat (although i'm a mat by default because i'm malay).
